The Sunday Otome Gaming Mail: Issues #46 and #47

All the best for 2017! I hope you all enjoyed New Year’s Eve!

Thank you very much for continuing to read my blog- whether you started three years ago or three days ago.

I apologise for the delay in my various posts, including this one! For those who don’t follow me on Twitter and didn’t know, my main Internet went down for about 11 days so I wasn’t able to do anything beyond Twitter or simple browsing (via my mobile Internet). Naturally, this means I’m quite behind on everything– My January 2017 otome games post, 2016 digest post, “what’s in store for 2017”-type post, 2016 year-end reviews… What a start to 2017, ‘ey? 😣

But enough complaining! I’ve decided to combine Issue #46 and #47 into one post. For updates pertaining to #46’s reporting period, they’ll be in the usual dark blue. For the latest updates- Issue #47- they’ll be in purple… So if you’re not interested in older news, just read the parts with purple headings!

Otomate Party 2016 Digest

Here I am… finally, with my Otomate Party 2016 post… only two months late! No, seriously… I’m sorry about this. T_T

Otomate Party is an annual event- similarly to Rejet’s Natsumatsuri and CHANGE events- in which new projects (and details of previously announced projects) are announced. This year, it took place on 13~14th August, 2016. Most of the projects announced at Otomate Party will be released the following year. In other words, Otomate is basically revealing to their fans what they can expect next year! Other than the new announcements, the main draws of the Parties are the popular seiyuu and theme song artists gathering to perform for the fans.

This post will cover all of the new projects in detail, save for Shiro to Kuro no Alice and Hana Oboro, as the two were announced prior to the party and had substantial information already unveiled. Ports and fandiscs/sequels will also not be covered in extra detail, as information is too scarce to warrant its own section, or otherwise old information publicised prior to the Party. On the same note, I’ve however, included the Osomatsu-san game in detail, because though it was announced much earlier, it wasn’t until this year’s Party that details were revealed.

The Sunday Otome Gaming Mail: Issue #27

Hello again, readers!

While it’s been a very slow week for site updates, the major news side of things have picked up. Aside from the slew of titles announced by Otomate during the Otomate Party 2016 event, the biggest news this week would probably be the mammoth 756mb trial of Blackish House Side A→. Moujuu-tachi to Ohime-sama and Oumagatoki ~Kakuriyo no Enishi~ were reviewed by Famitsuu, being awarded Famitsuu Silver and Famitsuu Gold respectively. Dogenzaka Labs released their third localisation this month, which is My Butler (Shitsuji no Prince-sama) that was made available on Steam earlier this week.

The Sunday Otome Gaming Mail: Issue #24

Good evening!

While this week has been pretty quiet in terms of news quantity, there were a couple major announcements: eXtend are already working on their second title, which is called Side Kicks! and Otomate will be porting Hakuouki Yuugiroku to the PlayStation Vita. The Shiro to Kuro no Alice website has been opened to the public with most sections available for the interested to visit. Plus if you’ve been mulling over the popular Kin’iro no Corda series by Koei Tecmo, perhaps the discounts on two titles may convince you to give it a try.

The Sunday Otome Gaming Mail: Issue #22

Good evening, readers!

It’s time for Issue #22, so let’s get right into it. The biggest announcement this week is Otomate revealing that they have another project in the works- it’s called Project Shiro to Kuro and will be for the PlayStation Vita. PIL-VAMP released a trial of [R18+] Mashou Megane on 13/7 for potential customers to try before they preorder. The next routes of Anicon by Zeiva Inc. will be Sheep’s and/or Rabbit’s with Cat’s Path Greenlit on Steam. PlayStation Vita ports Starry☆Sky ~Spring Stories~ and Torikago no Marriage ~Hatsukoi no Tsubasa~ will be joining Bara Sensou -Sonnet of Seeds- for a November 2016 release; planned for the 23rd and 24th respectively.
