It has been a relatively slow week on the Japanese side of things (with the only major announcements being the release date announcements of Steam Prison and Code: Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~), but the English otome game world has been busy: Agashi’s Queen’s Crown now has a Kickstarter campaign and is nearing the minimum funding goal, My Candy Love creators are launcing their second game Eldarya next month worldwide and Kenka Banchou Otome narrowly won Spike Chunsoft’s Twitter poll on which game their fans would like to see localised.
NOTE to those wondering: Yes, I will be writing posts about Rejet’s Summer Festival 2016 and Otomate’s Otomate Party 2016 events.
Good evening, readers!
It’s time for Issue #22, so let’s get right into it. The biggest announcement this week is Otomate revealing that they have another project in the works- it’s called Project Shiro to Kuro and will be for the PlayStation Vita. PIL-VAMP released a trial of [R18+] Mashou Megane on 13/7 for potential customers to try before they preorder. The next routes of Anicon by Zeiva Inc. will be Sheep’s and/or Rabbit’s with Cat’s Path Greenlit on Steam. PlayStation Vita ports Starry☆Sky ~Spring Stories~ and Torikago no Marriage ~Hatsukoi no Tsubasa~ will be joining Bara Sensou -Sonnet of Seeds- for a November 2016 release; planned for the 23rd and 24th respectively.
Another Sunday has arrived, so it’s time for Issue #21 of The Sunday Otome Gaming Mail. This week, the highlights are the launching of the Love is a Game Kickstarter campaign, the website launch of the much-awaited Daisy2’s Sangoku Rensenki: Sakikage and the teaser site launch of A’sRing’s fourth R18+ title, Furue Yurayura to. In the doujin otome world, cloche are ready to launch BLOODY TEA PARTY this month and Magic House have announced their next R18+ title, Tokiiro ni Moyuru Kokoro, Akaneiro ni Moyuru Kioku.
As a side note, Purple Nurple Wonderland hit 100,000 views on 09/7/2016! Thank you all so very much for your support and encouragement. I hope you continue to find my posts enjoyable and useful!
We’ve reached issue #10, but it’s a pretty quiet news week; especially in comparison to issue #9. Though quiet, some of the announcements are pretty major, so hopefully issue #10 will still be a good read for you all.
Yet again, the April 2016 Releases post received an update, thanks to the release of Illus Seed’s first otome game, Asagao Academy: Normal Boots Club and veteran Winter Wolves’ C-14 Dating on Steam.

This post will go into detail about the new projects announced by Otomate during their Otomate Party 2015 event, which was held on 16th August… yet again, I’m almost ten days late to the party. Again, I hope this post will be useful as I tried to include as much detail as I could. Please note that I will only be extensively covering the seven new games and two new drama CD series, as they have enough information to warrant their own entries. The rest of the announcements will be compiled under one heading. Happy reading!
November is the calm before the Christmas storm, maintaining the typical “four-games-a-month” formula:
~ Marginal #4 Idol of Supernova (13-11-2014)
~ Mermaid Gothic (20-11-2014)
~ Senjou no Waltz (20-11-2014)
~ Code: Realize ~Sousei no Himegimi~ (27-11-2014)
All four games are completely new releases, without a port, remake or re-release in sight! Idol fanatics can rejoice thanks to Marginal #4, which is developed by Rejet and Otomate and illustrated by the popular Kirishima Sou. Fairytale fans can enjoy the first otome game reimagining of The Little Mermaid named Mermaid Gothic by QuinRose. It appears to be a dark (and loose) adaptation of one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most famous and loved tales. If you love medieval settings and/or action, Otomate’s Senjou no Waltz- which appears to promise war, military school, magic and swordplay- could just be what you’re after. Lastly we have Code: Realize, which is set in past England. Its heroes are based on famous main men of classic European literature- such as Lupin, Frankenstein and Van Helsing. Even the supporting characters are very famous, from the fictional such as Sherlock Holmes, to real historical figures such as Queen Victoria.
